Refund Policy
What's refundable, what's not, and the rules per product. Plain English, no surprises.
Most Services are B2B and don't carry EU cooling-off rights, but we offer voluntary refund windows on workshops and eBooks. The €149 M365 Hardening workshop is sold to consumers — full 14-day cooling-off applies. Microsoft licensing through Pax8 follows the vendor's policy.
€499 Architecture & Security Design Workshop (B2B)
Because the workshop is a fixed-price live engagement delivered by the founder, we offer a satisfaction guarantee on the schedule, not the verdict:
- Before the live session is scheduled — full refund within 14 days of purchase if you change your mind. Email billing@itsailor.io with your invoice number.
- After the live session is scheduled, before it begins — 100% refund if cancelled more than 48 hours before the scheduled start. Between 48 hours and start, 50% refund (we hold the calendar slot).
€149 Microsoft 365 Tenant Hardening Workshop (B2C variant)
Because this variant is explicitly marketed to consumers and solo operators, EU consumer law applies:
- 14-day cooling-off period from the date of purchase. Refund issued within 10 business days of cancellation request.
- Cooling-off waived only on your explicit, written consent if workshop delivery (scheduling, prep-kit access, or live session) starts within the 14-day window. This consent is requested at checkout.
- After delivery starts under waived cooling-off — non-refundable.
€99 eBooks and downloadable knowledge bundles
eBooks are digital products delivered instantly on payment. Under EU Directive 2011/83/EU Article 16(m), digital content delivered on an immediate-access basis is exempt from the cooling-off period if you consent to immediate delivery and acknowledge loss of withdrawal right. This consent is requested at checkout before purchase confirmation.
- Before download link is generated — full refund within 7 days.
- After download — non-refundable, except for substantial product defect (eBook materially fails to match its description on the product page). Defect refunds are issued at our discretion within 14 days of a written report.
Microsoft 365 and partner-marketplace licensing (Pax8)
Where you purchase Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, or other vendor licences through us via the Pax8 marketplace, the underlying vendor's refund and cancellation policy applies (typically: monthly cancellation effective at end of billing period; annual subscriptions non-cancellable before renewal). We process refunds passed through by the vendor; we do not unilaterally refund licences we have already paid for at wholesale.
SaaS subscriptions (SEAWALL, HOIST, DECKLOG)
SaaS products are currently in MVP phase and sold under separate Order Forms / Master Services Agreements. The Order Form controls refund, cancellation, and minimum-term terms. In the absence of a signed Order Form, the default rule is: monthly subscription cancellable any time from the Stripe Customer Portal, effective at end of current billing period, no pro-rated refund.
Custom consulting and implementation engagements
Custom engagements scoped via Statement of Work (SOW) follow the cancellation and refund terms in that SOW. In the absence of explicit terms: hours billed for work already performed are non-refundable; future scheduled hours can be cancelled with 5 business days' notice.
Chargebacks
How to request a refund
- Email billing@itsailor.io from the address on the order, or from a verified company domain.
- Include the invoice number, order date, and a short description of the reason.
- For workshop defect or eBook defect requests, attach the relevant evidence.
Right to refuse
We may refuse a refund where:
- The request is made in bad faith;
- The customer has materially breached the Terms of Service;
- Deliverables have been redistributed or republished in breach of licence;
- The request relates to a product the customer has already used to extract substantial value (e.g. workshop Exit Kit deliverables that have been deployed in production).
